Important: This privacy policy explains how "My Expenses" collects, uses, and protects your information. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy and Apple's App Store guidelines.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Data (Local Storage)
My Expenses is designed with a privacy-first approach. We store the following information strictly locally on your device:
- Expense Records: Amount, date, category, payment method, and optional notes you enter.
- Customization: Expense categories and payment methods created by you.
- App Preferences: Theme settings (light/dark mode) and localization preferences.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
To provide stable app functionality and improve user experience, we may collect:
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version (for crash reporting and stability).
- Usage Data: Anonymous technical data on how you interact with the app.
1.3 Data Storage & Security
All your financial data is stored locally on your device using a secure SQLite database. We do not transmit, sync, or store your personal financial data on external servers. Your data remains private and under your physical control.
2. Third-Party Services
2.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)
This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. In compliance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework:
- On iOS 14.5 and later, AdMob will only access your IDFA (Advertising Identifier) if you grant explicit permission.
- AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to provide personalized ads if permission is granted.

2.2 Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal expense data. Your financial records never leave your device and are never shared with third parties or advertisers.
3. Your Rights and Choices
In accordance with Apple's privacy standards, you have the following controls:
- Access & Export: You can view all data in-app or export it via CSV format.
- Tracking Control: You can manage or revoke tracking permissions at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
- Deletion: You can delete individual records or the entire database by uninstalling the app (which permanently removes all local data).
4. Children's Privacy
My Expenses is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, adhering to COPPA and Apple's guidelines for kids' privacy.
5. Permissions
The app may request the following permissions only when necessary:
- Internet Access: To load advertisements via Google AdMob.
- Tracking: To show relevant ads (subject to your consent).
- Files/Storage: To save exported CSV files to your device.
